System Update:

NEW FEATURE

Password Protected Pages We have had a number of requests for simple password protected pages. Some of you have wanted to be able to give out one password to a large number of people so that they can access documents and pages in a less than public way. Although this is not a truly secure method of protecting document and pages, we have added this feature as an option. Now you can create a directory called 'password' any pages you put inside the directory will require a single password to access. No username will be required. Passwords are only as secure as the users that keep them, so you should not put up information that really needs to be protected. Please contact us to learn more about this feature and to set your password.

NEW FEATURE

Updated to NEWS/STORIES A new feature now allow you to manually set the date of a news item. Yes, you can now violate the rules of the universe and change time. To help avoid any cosmic conflicts, if you publish a news story with a future date it will not show up in the list of news items until that date arrives. We'll be making some further updates to this feature soon, so stay tunes.

If you're headed out of town this week to Episcopal Communicators, we thought it would be nice to get this up before you headed out in case there was some news you needed to get up next week without having to sit behind the computer in such a beautiful town. Enjoy, Pat and the gang.

Welcome Oklahoma

Diocese of Oklahoma Grows

Members of the Digital Faith team were in Oklahoma City last week for the kick off of the Digital Faith Community in the Diocese of Oklahoma. Over 75 clergy and laypersons attended the day long training sessions. Over four sessions, the community learned how to grow their community online.

In addition to covering the use of the SiteAdmin, Jonathan Jones reviewed a number of news support documents, including two new how to documents initially produced by Derek Matthews of Morning Side Presbyterian Church. Look for these documents here in the coming days.
